What's in a name?

Our business name has historical links to some noteworthy pilots who flew in WWII. The 'Gray' in "Graybrook" is directly associated with Ross Foxwell Gray DFC, a Lancaster Bomber pilot with 106 Squadron, whose commanding officer was none other than Wing Commander Guy Gibson VC, before he famously formed the Dambusters Squadron. After the war Ross went into partnership with John Brooksbank, supplying caps and uniforms under the trading name of Graybrook. In 1972 a youthful insurance broker "inherited" the name from his early mentor and started to trade as Graybrook Insurance Brokers. Although the business has seen many changes over the years, the ownership and name remain the same.
